Addo Elephant Back Safaris is situated in the pristine valleys of the Zuurberg Mountains, within the Greater Addo Elephant National Park. This area is regarded as Africa’s most biologically diverse, supporting 4 of the 7 biomes or eco-regions in Southern Africa.
Ride an elephant
Our elephants originally came from the Kruger National Park and were spared from a culling programme. After their training for the purpose of elephant back rides, the elephants have developed strong bonds with their minders.
During the rides, informative guides will provide information on this unique area, allowing the client to be at one with nature. Interact with these majestic mammals while taking in the beauty of the African Bush. After the ride relax at the elephants favourite water hole with a sumptuous breakfast.

Walk with the elephants
Walks with the elephants through bush, ravines and forest. The walk is not strenuous and at an enjoyable pace. Walks will allow the guests to observe the elephant’s habits in their natural surroundings. Enjoy refreshments at the waterhole whilst the elephants make the most of their time at their favourite water hole.
