Mokala National Park
Mokala is a new park, situated about 80km from Kimberley. Mokala is a Setswana name for the Camel Thorn tree which is found in this semi desert area. The park offeres guests a chance to enjoy the peace and tranquility found in the isolated wide open areas of the Northern Cape.
Mokala currently includes two lodges with a restaurant, conferencing and camping area. The camping area is separate to the lodge. It also has a private landing strip. Due to Mokala only having 2 lodges each fully equipped and sleeping a maximum of 30 people, it is concentrating on conference groups.
Future developments are planned which will include a day visitor’s area and wilderness self-catering camps.
A lot of work has gone into establishing a good road network and, and ensuring that a high standard is maintained throughout the park.
